Worcester Lawn Tennis Club has received four awards in the last two years:
Club of the Year 2007 - Herefordshire & Worcestershire LTA
Coach of the Year 2007 - Jon Bradshaw - Herefordshire & Worcestershire LTA
Tennis Clubmark Accreditation 2008 - Having achieved high standards in club planning, tennis programmes, policies and procedures, and club management
Club Volunteer of the Year 2008 - Phil Hawkins - British Tennis
We are delighted that these prestigious awards have recognised the efforts of the club in supporting tennis at all levels.
The President’s Plate
The President’s Plate is an award made each year to the “Member of the year”. It is a recognition of the work done voluntarily by all of ther members who contribute to the success of the club.
The award for 2009 went to Pat Mayo, not only for her contribution in organising the gardening club and Tuesday morning social tennis, but also for many years of dedication to the club, both on and off the court. Previous recipients include: Phil Hawkins, Donna Hawker, Dick Francis and Pat Wood.
